Vacation - Day 4

Saturday was our big, busy day. We decided to be brave and head South to Los Angeles and see if it was as crazy as everyone said it was. To our surprise - it wasn't! We left at just the right time and traffic was fine. We did see a pretty scary motorcycle accident that happened a couple minutes in front of us. We're still not sure what happened but the guy was obviously speeding and going in and out of traffic. Very scary and I don't want anyone I love on a motorcycle!!! Anyway, we planned on going to Hollywood Blvd. to see the sights and get some pictures. There was plenty of parking when we got there so we decided to stop. We got to see Graumann's Chinese Theater and Kodak Theater - very cool. We also saw all the stars on the Walk of Fame. Oh, and the hand and footprints. My favorites were Anthony Hopkins - which we happened to see first - and Judy Garland. We had lunch at Disney's Soda Fountain & Studio Store, where E had a PB & J shaped liked Mickey Mouse. I was super jealous and wished I had ordered it! :p After lunch we looked around at some more shops and picked up some souvenirs. Before we headed back to Oxnard we just had to get a good photo of the HOLLYWOOD sign. That was much harder than you would think because each time you caught a glimpse of it down a side road and turned down that road... it would be gone. I'm convinced someone has a switch and turns it on and off just to torment tourists. We finally picked the right road and got a nice view of it - yay! - so we could finally head back.

We were feeling brave toting around a 13-month old and since he took a good nap in the car we decided to go to Cowboys camp one last time. It was SUPER crowded - unlike the weekdays - but we still had fun and E got to meet their mascot, Rowdy! lol

Since it was our last day there we also wanted to catch a sunset on the beach. It was a little too cloudy - and cool - but atleast we got one last dip in the water before we had to head home.

Sunday was pretty hectic and long but we finally made it home. E was a little more antsy on the plane because we couldn't get the front row, but he did ok and we had a direct flight so that helped a lot. We had lots of fun but were very glad to get home. E slept SO MUCH on Sunday night and Monday morning. He's such a good sleeper and LOVES his bed. :)
