Birthday Party

So the big event was Saturday! We had about 6 toddlers, 4 babies and 15 or so adults. We had so much fun and the weather was just PERFECT. I was prepared for rain but as the date got closer the forecast was just perfect - sunny, some clouds, some overcast and a nice breeze.



We did a Cars theme and decorated with lots of balloons and tried not to go to over board with it all. The favors/goodie bags were my favorite part! We did a beach pail filled with a shovel, sand toys, stickers, play dough, bubbles, squirter/watertoys, a pinwheel, hot wheels etc and then put their names on them with a paint pen! They turned out soooo cute. Then the babies got mini pails and sand toys with a blanket with their name on them!!! Brenda was sweet enough to do the blankets for me and I just loved them - turned out SO cute.




We had the swing set for them to play on and then had the sand box, water table, ride on toys and the bounce house filled with beach balls for them to play with - never a dull moment! :p And of course inside, in the play room, we had the new train table from Nana and Papa that they played with too.




For food we did pizza and all kinds of chips, dips, veggies and fruit. The cake was a cars theme and when it came time to blow out the candles, E did great! :)




Then we did presents! He got SO many cool toys and of course loves them all. He got so many cool personalized things too - so cute.


Needless to say, he was really worn out. In fact he is just now getting caught up on sleep. This morning he slept until 10am and is taking a good nap right now - poor thing! :) Anyway, we had a perfect birthday and now I'm looking forward to a low key week... after I get this house cleaned up of course. That might take all week!!! :p
