Update Time

E is getting over a stomach virus this week. (At Least that's what the doctor said it must be. Sometimes I think they have no clue. lol) We went in because he woke up from a nap the other day with a fever and he had thrown up in his bed. Poor guy! They said it was most likely a virus. He was doing fine - just a little cranky for about a day.

Then when he woke up yesterday I noticed he was favoring his left leg and couldn't walk on it without it hurting him. He would kinda plop to the floor. So of course that scared me and the nurses told us to come in and that sometimes they can get inflammation in their hip joint from being sick and having a virus like he had. So we get ready and I already notice he is walking on it a little more but they still said to come in just in case. By the time we got there of course he was walking normal again. ???

They said he had toxic synovitis - which is an inflammation of the hip joint and sounds much scarier than it is. It can last from a few hours to a week but luckily for us it didn't come back after that one episode. So all is well now. They said to just keep an eye on his fever and if he has one then that's a sign that we need to have lots of tests run.

Anyway, that was our excitement for the week! Nana & Papa are coming for a visit this weekend and hopefully that means Mommy & Daddy get to go on a date for Valentine's Day! Woohoo!!! :)
